about

Christine Liu careens around the city one darling bite at a time. She is currently the digital executive editor at America’s Test Kitchen (best known as the publisher of Cook’s Illustrated magazine) in Boston, and also is a freelance writer on lifestyle, food, drink, and small business.

She put the local mobile vending industry on the map by spearheading the Boston Food Truck Festival in 2010, and has helped Bostonians fall in love (if not go on great dates) as a local community manager for HowAboutWe in 2011. Her dual obsessions of food and community building have culminated in projects like OMG Red Velvet (a benefit for food rescue non-profit  Lovin’ Spoonfuls), a series of cocktail-centric Tipple Trivia nights, and a healthy share of deviled-egg offs.

She has worked at Urbanspoon, Citysearch, and Dig Publishing in various editorial and community management capacities. Her writings on local food, drink and fashion have been published in The Boston Globe (clips), Boston Magazine (clips here and here), Budget Travel, Beer Advocate Magazine, DailyCandy Boston and noms.in. A resident of Somerville, Christine is often seen indulging her penchant for small pleasures, like squirting sriracha on noodles, sipping negronis at midnight, and taking her MacBook for refreshing little walks.

Find her on LinkedIn and on about several thousand other shreds of internet. (These things happen.)
